Sino-Bulgarian Economic Relations in the Post Pandemic World

Since 2013, China has launched the “Belt and Road” Initiative adhering to “The Five-Connectivity Program”, which aims at achieving win-win results with countries along road. Meantime, “17+1” mechanism is an important regional platform that promotes cooperation between Central Eastern European countries. In this context, Sino-Bulgarian economic relationships are constantly expanding increasingly diversified in terms of foreign direct investment, trade, companies. There increasing research interests these two policies but there still a lot gaps fill. The most pressing one more researches needed about impact Belt Road on Europe Countries, especially individual country such as Bulgaria. Bulgaria was second recognized established diplomatic relations 1949. then, have very good strong relationship different ways. However, outbreak COVID-19 2020 brought many challenges for both China, deep bilateral relations. herefore, by searching past ten years SSCI literature database, paper systematically sorts out existing makes comprehensive review, reflecting latest changing landscape Then collecting, screening analyzing statistical data multiple sources, identifies characteristics FDI, trade respectively. purpose provide guidance prospect Sino- Bulgarian future. establishes made great progress under initiative new remain unstable far below their potential.
